Tanuki Yukaku 撲克牌 | 花札版

I love how the box itself sets the spring mood before I even open it—the Ume Matsuri design with those blossoms is just gorgeous. The cards handle smoothly right out of the pack, which is always a relief.

The card stock has a satisfying snap when you riffle shuffle, and the floral motif on the tuck case is even more intricate up close. These instantly make any card game feel a bit more special.

The Ume Matsuri tuck box art is genuinely gorgeous, way prettier in person than I expected from the photos. Cards have a nice snap to them and the hanafuda suits are drawn with real care. Been playing koi-koi with these every night this week.
