Unfold a story with every touch. The Louver Tuck Box captures Urashima Tarou's transformation by triggering the Louver mechanism, first revealing him as a vibrant young man full of life and potential, then transforming him into a frail, aged figure.

The Card back design further immerses players in this narrative through an Animation deck. As the deck is flipped, the animation depicts the moment Urashima opens the tamatebako. This dynamic feature brings the legend to life with each shuffle, turning a simple deck of cards into a storytelling experience that resonates with the themes of time, consequence, and the allure of the unknown.

The Origami Tuck Box of the Urashima Tarou Playing Cards invites you to experience more than just a deck, it’s a journey. Inspired by traditional Japanese origami, this unique box unfolds piece by piece, blending craftsmanship with the timeless elegance of Japanese design.

The card backs of the Urashima Tarou Origami Editions are a tribute to the elegance of simplicity and the heart of the tale. Featuring a minimalist design inspired by the intricate patterns of a sea turtle’s shell, each back is rendered in a single, bold color.

Thomas Q. ★★★★★

The louver mechanism works so smoothly, it's genuinely satisfying to flip the box and watch the art change from young to old. I’ve been showing everyone how the transformation reveals the story just by tilting the lid.

Grace ★★★★★

The way the box cover shifts between the young man and the older version is surprisingly smooth—it’s become a little fidget toy on my desk. Each card feels substantial, and the artwork really draws you into the story.

Evelyn ★★★★☆

The louver mechanism on the tuck box is genuinely clever—it's a nice touch that changes as you tilt it, showing the young man first. Card quality feels solid for the price, though I wish the box's moving parts weren't quite so easy to snag when sliding the deck out.
