The velour surface is genuinely silky, way smoother than the felt pad I used before, and cards glide without snagging. The wooden base gives it enough weight that it doesn't slide around during coin work.
I've been practicing card fans on this for a couple weeks and the velour really does let the cards glide without snagging. The wooden base has a nice weight to it so it doesn't slide around on my desk either.
The wooden base gives it a nice weight so it doesn't slide around while I'm practicing card fans. I've been using it daily for a couple weeks and the velour still looks brand new.
