Quick answer
Choose the Ghost of Yōtei Black Edition if you want bold, video-game-inspired art with a dark, tactical feel. Pick the Andersen's Fairy Tales Garnet Standard Edition for a softer, narrative-driven deck with complete watercolor illustrations and a storybook tuck box.
Art style: dark action vs. storybook watercolor
The Ghost of Yōtei Black Edition draws directly from the video game's world. The deck features four Queen cards showing Atsu's iconic armours and weapons—Katana, Kusarigama, Yari, and Dual Katana—alongside the Yōtei 6 as Kings and Jacks, and a wolf companion as an Ace. The black-dyed theme from the Black Dye Merchant of Teshio Ridge gives the deck a cohesive, shadowy look.
In contrast, the Andersen's Fairy Tales Garnet Standard Edition uses beautiful watercolor-style illustrations that match the tone of classic fairy tales. Every card is fully customized, and the deck comes in a storybook tuck box with an interactive tab—watch the swans take flight as you pull it. The focus is on artistic integrity and narrative depth, not on game references.
Packaging and unboxing experience
Ghost of Yōtei Black Edition offers a collector-oriented bundle with options for accessory add-ons. The packaging emphasizes the game's lore and the black-dye merchant's theme.
Andersen's Fairy Tales Garnet Standard Edition goes for a full thematic experience. The storybook tuck box and interactive tab make unboxing part of the storytelling. If you enjoy a tactile, narrative reveal, this deck delivers that.

The Ghost of Yōtei deck is ideal for gamers, collectors of video-game merchandise, and anyone who prefers a dark, weapon-focused aesthetic. The Andersen's Fairy Tales deck suits fans of classic literature, watercolor art, and decks that tell a story through every card.
